Should you need to seek urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, please telephone 0300 1231893 and listen to the full message which will advise on the appropriate action to take.
Alternatives to visits to Accident & Emergency Dept:

Both centres will see non-registered patients but patients need to telephone The Midway prior to attending.
- For the treatment of minor injuries, the Haywood Hospital, High Lane, Burslem offers a walk-in service. This centre is open Monday-Friday 7.00am – 10.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 9.00am – 10.00pm. The telephone number for the centre is 581112.
- Your local pharmacy can give advice on aches & sprains, coughs & colds, sore throats etc. Self care is often the best choice to treat these minor ailments. A full list of local chemists and their opening times can be found on NHS Choices website.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
